The Story

Led by senior center Pat Hoke and sophomore guard Steve Connor, the 1976 Boise State basketball team finished the regular season in a three-way tie for first place in the Big Sky Conference, their first conference title. In the first year of the conference tournament’s existence, the Broncos took down their co-champions Idaho State and Weber State to advance to their first-ever NCAA tournament. Celebrate BSU’s season of firsts with us and their vintage Bronco mascot, featured on the 1975-76 team media guide.
