The Story
The Florida Gators’ classic mascot, Albert, is usually seen in costume or cartoon forms, like he is here on this vintage design. However, his namesake was a live mascot alligator that donor and alumnus Ross Allen gifted the university in 1957. Understandably, a live gator mascot program was not sustainable, leading to the prevalence of the friendlier Albert Florida fans have loved for generations. Each corduroy hat is adjustable, and size ranges from cap sizes 7 to 7 3/4 (56 to 62 cm). Hats are 8cm from the top of the bill to the point of the crown.
