The Story
This ‘80s vintage-inspired design celebrates the 40th anniversary of Georgetown men’s basketball’s incredible 1983-84 season. The Hoyas handled business in the Big East, losing only three games in the regular season by four points or less – an impressive feat. Led by coach John Thompson and buoyed by consistently excellent shooting by Patrick Ewing, Georgetown powered through the 1984 NCAA tournament, defeating Houston for their first national championship; it was also the first team national title in Georgetown history, in any sport.
