The Story

The Little Five gained national acclaim when it was featured in the 1979 film Breaking Away. The Academy Award-winner revolves around four, young Bloomington locals who race (and win) the Little Five over well-established fraternity teams. Their team name, the Cutters, and their ethos as a non-fraternity relay team inspired a real-life Cutters team to form; they are, to date, the most successful Little Five competitors, earning 15 wins.
