Nothing quite compares to the tradition of the Ohio State University’s “Script Ohio," designed by band director Eugene Weigel and first performed on Oct. 24, 1936. The Script Ohio consists of the band "writing" the word "Ohio" through their formation, ending with a sousaphone player dotting the "I." The full script now requires 192 band members known as “The Best Damn Band in the Land."
