The Story

This vintage Weary Wil design is our tribute to Hobo Day, South Dakota State’s homecoming tradition. Hobo Day dates back to 1912, when students dressed as hobos and bums at the train station to greet the opposing football team (and returning alumni) who arrived that day. The Hobo Day parade and Hobo Day themes are still a beloved part of the Jackrabbits’ homecoming festivities.
